Corrie combines more than 20 years’ facilitation experience with visual tools to facilitate breakthrough conversations that spark engaged action and learning. She excels at designing, facilitating, and evaluating dynamic learning and change processes that build on individual and organizational strengths. Corrie uses proven principles of adult education, universal design, and culturally responsive practices to build inclusion, and create engagement, possibility, and collective action.

In addition to an undergrad in international development and a Master’s in Lifelong Learning., Corrie holds certificates in Adult Education, Facilitation, Appreciative Inquiry, Conflict Resolution, Participatory Evaluation and Graphic Facilitation.  In 2011, Corrie co-founded Rainbow Refugees Association of Nova Scotia (RRANS), an organization that supports and privately sponsors LGBTQ+ refugees.

Originally from Bermuda, she brings a strong grounding in political studies, justice, and equity, as well as a deep passion for storytelling, relationship-building, and community engagement. Sacred is a passionate communicator who thrives when connecting with others; whether she’s hosting a Sea Change information booth, coordinating a conference, or engaging with changemakers at events across the province…

Sacred is a passionate communicator who thrives when connecting with others; whether she’s hosting a Sea Change information booth, coordinating a conference, or engaging with changemakers at events across the province.
 
Since graduating from Mount Saint Vincent University in 2023 with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Studies, Sacred has immersed herself in the work of access, equity, and transformation. Since starting this position, she’s completed numerous trainings in artificial intelligence and content creation/marketing, which she uses to craft communications that are both clear and deeply inclusive. Her role at Sea Change includes coordinating accessible, values-aligned events and developing thoughtful messaging that reflects the communities Sea Change serves.
 
Sacred is also actively building her skills in project management: she has completed her 30 hours of training toward her Project Management Professional Certificate and intends to pursue both her CAPM and PMP certifications between 2025 and 2026. She serves on the Board of Directors for reachAbility, a Halifax-based organization working to break down barriers and support equity in communities.

Nicole is a nimble, innovative, professional facilitator, community engagement and communications specialist, and systems thinker with over twenty years of business and organization management, project management, community development and engagement experience in the non-profit and private sectors.

Nicole is passionate and skillful at building collaborations and partnerships across differences and for social innovation and reconciliation. Nicole excels at creating spaces and networks for authentic participation and dialogue as the basis for lasting relationships based on trust, respect, reciprocity and understanding.

Nicole holds an undergraduate degree in Communications, a post-graduate certificate in Leadership, and is a candidate for an MBA in Community Economic Development. She also holds certificates in adult education, various facilitation methodologies, conflict transformation, and systems theory.

Nicole is a wife and mother to two children and loves to explore Unama’ki by hiking forests and ocean kayaking. She loves yoga and spending time with her family, friends, and many furry and feathered pets.

Roseline is a queer community leader, entrepreneur, and advocate for people and the environment. Born and raised in Kenya and now living in Halifax, Nova Scotia, she brings over 20 years of experience in tourism, business, and conservation work

Roseline is a queer community leader, entrepreneur, and advocate for people and the environment. Born and raised in Kenya and now living in Halifax, Nova Scotia, she brings over 20 years of experience in tourism, business, and conservation work. 

Roseline holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Natural Resource Management, along with diplomas in Tourism and Business Management. In 2015, she founded Whitestone Safaris, a social enterprise that supports the education of Maasai girls through tourism. 

Roseline is also active in the Kenya Association in Nova Scotia, supporting newcomer communities. Her greatest motivation comes from being a proud mother of two. Roseline cares about fairness, kindness, and helping others feel included. Her children are her biggest inspiration and keep her motivated to build a better life and support her community.

Erin is a professional communicator, writer, and editor based in Kjipuktuk/Halifax, Nova Scotia. Her professional and personal mission is to spread the gospel of plain language as both an accessibility right and a decolonizing practice. Erin develops and delivers training in plain language and other equity- and accessibility-related topics, both on her own and in collaboration with Sea Change CoLab. For more than a decade, she has offered communication consulting to the higher education, business, not-for-profit, and government sectors. Erin has been a leader and key collaborator on many equity-focused projects — as a non-profit leader, private consultant, and volunteer. She believes we are all entitled to effective and clear communication so we can connect with the people, opportunities, services, products, and information we need.

James is a visual artist, specializing in painting and illustration. Born in Cebu City, Philippines, James was raised and educated in a highly multicultural setting. James graduated magna cum laude from the University of the Philippines with a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Art and organized and facilitated summer art workshops for children of all ages while developing, writing, and illustrating comic book titles for local publication, Popcorn Comics.
James began his career with a team of Content Illustrators for Cleverlearn/Bigfoot Global Solutions Inc., designing English tutorial software for two years while coordinating and participating in art exhibits. For the past 13 years, James has lived in Kjipuktuk/Halifax, NS.
