We lead the Accessibility Confident Employers (ACE) Project, a province-wide initiative funded through the Opportunities Fund for Persons with Disabilities, which provides free resources, training, and supports to employers in all sectors. Through ACE, we have built deep, trust-based relationships with employers, accessibility professionals, service providers, and individuals with lived experience across Nova Scotia and beyond.
Sea Change offers accessibility audits that help organizations meet legal requirements, remove barriers, and strengthen inclusion. All audits include plain-language recommendations, cost estimates, and practical next steps. We also offer engagement with people with lived experience to ensure First Voice perspectives are integrated throughout. Sea Change focuses on communications, human resources, and customer service. We partner with Anne Sinclair (Architect) and Julie Glaser (Accessibility Specialist), both Rick Hansen Foundation Accessibility Certified Professionals, to ensure comprehensive expertise for built environment audits.
1. Communication & Information ($10,000-$15,000)
- Website and digital audit (WCAG 2.2 AA compliance, plain language, inclusive design)
- Review of print materials, signage, and wayfinding
- Assessment of digital and print communication, including social media
2. Human Resources ($10,000-$15,000)
- Review of recruitment and hiring processes
- Accessibility of onboarding, training, and staff development
- Retention and advancement practices to ensure equity and inclusion
3. Customer Service and Experience ($10,000-$15,000)
- Evaluation of front-line customer interactions
- Review of public programs and event accessibility
- Accessible feedback mechanisms and inclusive engagement practices
4. Built Environment – Pricing Based on Square Footage
- Full site visit and review of drawings
- Assessment of entrances, washrooms, parking, circulation, and compliance with standards
- Phased, costed recommendations with performance metrics
