Accessibility Confident Employers (ACE) Foundations Workshop

This full-day hybrid learning event will include an in-person gathering in Kji’puktuk/Halifax, with a virtual option online on Thursday, Nov 16th at the Dalhousie University Student Union Building. 

This highly interactive learning event will explore promising practices for creating accessible recruitment and hiring, retention, and advancement. 

• Create a shared understanding of ACE, our guiding principles, and the learning events and options we will offer between 2023-2026 
• Build connection, inclusion, and commitment to be accessibility confident employers
• Practice deep listening and engage with first voice perspectives of disability and intersectionality
• Explore promising practices for accessibility including digital accessibility, plain language, accessible events, and inclusive recruitment and hiring
• Identify next steps for your own learning and ideas to carry forward to your workplace
